Masterclass Young Writers

Join Masterclass this August for their New Writing Month in partnership with The Other Palace!

Masterclass Young Writers is a programme for 16-18 year olds to explore writing for stage. Are you interested in writing? Or have something to say about the world? If that’s a yes, book your place today!

Running from 1-5pm on Monday 1 and 8 August, Masterclass Young Writers is a chance to workshop your writing from page to performance.

1 August – we will be joined by writer, poet and Children’s Laureate of Wales, Connor Allen. Connor will lead a session on the building blocks of storytelling and get you started on your own monologue/poem. 

8 August – you will partner with some actors from the Masterclass community. The actors will help you to workshop your piece and get it ready for performance. You will leave this session with a professional audio recording of your work.

Mini Digital Festival – The recordings will be shared on our social channels in a mini festival of new writing during the week beginning August 15.
