This innovative narrative unfolds in London, 1595, where Shakespeare is feverishly working to craft his masterpieces Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet.

In Breaking The Quill, Hamlet transforms from a vengeful prince to a poetic soul, Juliet defies her predestined love story to find her own path, and Romeo is determined to fulfill his romantic destiny. Shakespeare must navigate this chaos to restore order to his tales.

Featuring original music by Cheeyoung Kim and a book and lyrics by Hansol Kim, the show combines humor, drama, and enchanting music to explore themes of fate, free will, and self-discovery.
