BIG MAN. LITTLE MAN. is a gripping new drama exploring coercive control, vulnerability, and the devastating consequences of manipulation, drawing on the writer’s real-life events from over ten years’ experience working with young people with special educational needs.
Tony is a teenager trying to navigate first love, friendship, and finding his place in the world. But when an intense relationship at school begins to spiral into something far darker, the warning signs are easy to miss until it’s too late.
Raw, moving and unflinchingly honest, BIG MAN. LITTLE MAN. shines a light on the experiences too rarely seen on stage. This powerful new play gives a voice to young people whose stories are often overlooked, challenging audiences to rethink consent, masculinity and what it truly means to protect those most at risk.

Drawing on the writer’s ten years working with young people with special educational needs, BIG MAN. LITTLE MAN. follows Tony, a teenager navigating first love and finding his place in the world, until an intense relationship spirals into something far darker. Raw, moving and unflinchingly honest, it challenges audiences to rethink consent, control and who we protect.

Strong language, depictions of emotional and physical abuse, references to sexual coercion, teenage pregnancy, suicidal ideation and self-harm.
The main entrance, both our auditoriums and our bar are wheelchair accessible. We also have 2 accessible toilets. Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome in the auditorium. There is a Loop system and a Radio Frequency system fitted in the auditorium and there are also hearing loops available at the Box Office.
