Rebel Song - staged reading

As part of Aria Entertainment's FROM PAGE TO STAGE festival of new musicals which includes staged readings, showcases of new musicals, concerts and one fully produced musical.

As Ireland sets forth towards her uncertain glory; two boys meet day after day out at the Forty Foot where land meets the sea. There they make a pact that Doyler will teach Jim to swim, and in a year, they will swim the bay to the distant beacon of the Muglins Rock, to raise the Green and claim it for themselves. Carrying the audience through the turbulence of the Easter uprising, we unfold a love story of the utmost tenderness.

The song My Island has been nominated for the Stiles & Drew Best Song Prize.
